SD Scoop £1-Million Record Deal

Simon Cowell has offered X Factor losers Same Difference a £1million record deal. The High School Musical style duo came third in the last series of the TV talent show. But Simon is such a big fan of brother and sister Sean, 22, and Sarah Smith, 19, that he’s now signed them up for megabucks. The pair had been given a one-single deal - which had been delayed - but will now release an entire album on Simon’s Syco label.

The Album

They will work with pop supremo Pete Waterman. Sarah who dropped out of theatre school when she got through to the X Factor, said: "We were on the train to London when we got the call. I think we probably deafened all the passengers because we were screaming so much. We still can’t believe it - we are so happy."

"When the single launch was put back we feared the worse. But now we are totally and utterly ecstatic and we can’t wait to get into the studio."

The writers behind Leona Lewis and the smash hits from High School Musical will also be composing new material for them. It is believed their deal is worth £1million, although the record company refused to discuss the exact value of the contract.
